My credit history is stopping me from finding a Loan or Remortgage.
Can you help?
We like to think we can! We can often find a secured loan or remortgage when others have said no. We treat you as an individual and don’t just look at your credit rating. If you have late payments, defaults, arrears or CCJ’s we will work hard to find you the funds to consolidate your debts and make a fresh start. How much can I borrow and over how long?
This will depend on your available income and the equity in your property… Our Loans range from £3,000 to £100,000 and our Mortgages from £5,000 to £1,000,000.
When you replace your mortgage you may wish to borrow more than the amount required to pay off your current lender. This is very common and at Greenhill we aim to be as flexible as possible towards your requirements. The extra money can be used for home improvements, debt consolidation or even that dream holiday! Top of page!
Repayment terms are entirely up to you, Loans are typically between 3 and 25 years and Mortgages from 5 to 30 years. We will find the most suitable timescale to suit your situation. Top of page!
What can I spend the money on?
Whatever you want to! Wherever possible the money is yours to spend as you wish. This could be consolidation of existing higher rate credit, home improvements, or that special holiday… it’s your money.

I am confused about the different rates and APR...
We have available to us a panel of lenders who have many different products available for you which can include variable and fixed rates. Interest rates will vary according to your personal circumstances; there are many different rates to suit individual applicants. Call our experienced advisors who can provide a personalised illustration of rates and APR applicable to you. As an example, for Loans the typical variable rate is 15.9% APR. For Mortgages the overall cost for comparison is 9.2% APR. Two thirds of our customers receive the quoted rates or less. Top of page!

Can I settle my loan early?
Yes, The Consumer Credit Act 2004 regulations prescribes a calculation which determines the amount of money to be paid in the event of early settlement, there is a complex formula the result of which is put simply by saying there will be a maximum of 2 months interest added to the outstanding balance to arrive at a settlement figure. The Finance Industry Standards Association guide that we will send you with your loan offer contains further information about what assumptions and details are considered in arriving at the balance outstanding.
Are fixed interest rates available?
On the majority of our loans we are able to offer interest rates fixed for up to five years (where the loan term is 60 months or longer). Rates of interest that are fixed for the whole loan term are also available.
How will Greenhill be paid?
Greenhill will receive a commission from the lending company. This is variable and is dependent on a number of factors including: Who the lender is and the interest rate charged.
This commission payment is a payment from the lender to us. It is not deducted from your loan or mortgage advance. We will always advise you of the amount of commission the lender pays to us.
Greenhill will also charge you a fee. The fee on a loan is up to 12% of the loan amount and is only payable on completion of your loan. This fee is normally added to your loan. The Finance Industry Standards Association guide that we will send you with your loan offer contains further details on how we are remunerated
For mortgages a fee of 2% of the mortgage amount will be charged, subject to a minimum of £1,750, this is normally added to the mortgage and we work on a no mortgage no fee basis.
